Terms of Service

By creating an account or otherwise using English Classes (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service lets teachers schedule small-group English conversation classes, lets students request to join those classes, and lets admins review and approve classes before they become publicly visible. For teachers who connect their Google Calendar, the Service automatically creates a Google Calendar event with a Google Meet link once a class is approved, and adds approved students to that event as attendees.

You must sign in with a Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of that Google account. We assign every account a role (student, teacher, or admin) that determines what you can see and do on the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that harasses, abuses, or harms another user.
• Attempt to access another user's account, class, or Google Calendar data without authorization.
• Attempt to circumvent the Service's access controls (for example, trying to obtain the Meet link for a class you have not been approved for).
• Post class content that is false, misleading, or infringes the rights of others.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

Classes scheduled by teachers are reviewed by an admin before becoming visible to students; we do not guarantee that any class will be approved, or approved within any particular timeframe. A teacher may reschedule or cancel their own class, and an admin may reject or cancel any class, at any time. If Google Calendar/Meet creation fails for any reason, the class will not be published as approved until it succeeds.

Requests to join a class are subject to the teacher's approval and available capacity. Being approved for a class does not guarantee the class will occur as scheduled if the teacher cancels or reschedules it.

The Service relies on Google Sign-In, Google Calendar, and Google Meet to operate. Your use of those Google products is also subject to Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of Google's services.

Teachers retain ownership of the class descriptions and other content they submit, and grant us a license to display that content to students and admins as part of operating the Service. You represent that you have the right to post any content you submit.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Admins may revoke a teacher's role, which returns that account to student access. You may stop using the Service, and disconnect Google Calendar access, at any time from Account settings.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any class, Calendar event, or Meet link will be created successfully every time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grammar Connect UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
